Disrupting Mindsets for Financial Freedom
Dhana Mithudam is a equal partnership between the Colombo Institute For Investments (CIFI) and Edunic — two institutions united by the belief that every young Sri Lankan deserves access to world-class financial and entrepreneurship education.
Students use live CSE data, mock CDS accounts, and real company financial reports — not textbook theory alone.
Every graduate earns a Certificate of Completion co-issued by CIFI and Edunic, recognised across Sri Lanka's financial and educational community.
Lessons are grounded in the Sri Lankan economic reality — from the CSE to LKR exchange rates — while building a global investment perspective.
Two experienced professionals from complementary worlds — finance and education — coming together to build Sri Lanka's leading youth financial literacy movement.
Each 8-hour, 2-week workshop is delivered jointly by CIFI and Edunic. Choose the right starting point for your child.
Age 13 – 18
A solid foundation in personal finance, budgeting, basic investing, and introductory entrepreneurship. Students graduate ready to manage money with confidence.
Age 16 – 18
A deep dive into the Colombo Stock Exchange. Students open CDS accounts, run fundamental and technical analysis, and build live LKR 500,000 mock portfolios.
Age 13 – 18
A full end-to-end business building programme from idea to investor pitch. Students develop real ventures, build brands, and compete in a Dragon's Den-style finale.
Our three CIFI × Edunic programmes form a progressive curriculum. Students may start at any level and build toward true financial independence.
Start here. Build a rock-solid understanding of how money works — budgeting, saving, investing basics, and the power of compound growth. Suitable for all beginners aged 13–18.
Go deeper with the Colombo Stock Exchange. Learn to read financials, analyse charts, manage a real portfolio, and understand macroeconomic forces. Designed for ages 16–18.
Bring it all together by building a real business. Validate ideas, create a brand, design financial projections, and pitch live to a panel. The ultimate capstone for any young entrepreneur.

Students receive a jointly-issued CIFI and Edunic Certificate of Completion. The programme concludes with a mini-pitch competition where groups present their businesses and portfolios to the class.
